This role forms part of a newly created business support apprenticeship pool that will offer the opportunity to work across several teams, while developing a wide knowledge and skillset that you can take forward in your future career.

As a key team member, you will rotate every 6 months into a new team. During each 6-month assignment you will provide professional clerical and admin support, co-ordinating projects, working closely with team members to really make a difference to a wide variety of fast moving, innovative and interesting projects. Ideally, you'll have an avid interest in technology, where you'll have the opportunity to see your ideas come into action.

We are looking for people who can organise and plan their work, support busy teams, and who have an interest in improving ways of working through innovative solutions.

Main duties of the job

Apprenticeships are designed to give talented people an opportunity to gain a nationally recognised qualification while completing on the job training. You will be supported to learn and develop the knowledge, skills and behaviours you need to perform in the job role. You will also have study time allocated within your working hours to gain your qualification.

You will have the opportunity to rotate through various directorates gaining experience whilst providing support.

About us

NHS Cambridgeshire & Peterborough is an Integrated Care Board (ICB) and the statutory NHS organisation responsible for planning and delivering local health and care services to the population and communities of Cambridgeshire & Peterborough.

Working collaboratively with partner organisations, including the VCSE sector, it oversees the commissioning, performance, financial management and transformation of the local NHS, as part of Cambridgeshire & Peterborough Integrated Care System (ICS).

Job responsibilities

Provide professional clerical and administrative support to a range of managers.

Undertake administrative support duties as discussed and agreed to ensure the smooth running of the team, including arranging and changing meetings and basic data analysis.

Take clear minutes and capture actions for meetings, including team meetings alongside senior team members.

Using MS Office products and advanced IT tools, identify, recommend and implement smarter ways of working within Directorates and teams using for example, Outlook, MS Teams, Excel, Word and PowerPoint.

Design and deliver basic upskilling training to teams on using Microsoft Copilot and other new smarter ways of working.

Communicate straightforward messages effectively and professionally methods could include, email, telephone, virtual via teams and face to face.

Effectively plan and organise your time and ensure work you are delivering is to ICB performance standards.

Work under the supervision of the appointed Directorate member and the Administrator co-ordinator to ensure smooth running of tasks.

Develop and maintain effective working relationships within the ICB and ICS. There may be occasional times when members of the public or external partners will need to be contacted.

Use IT systems in line with ICB policies and procedures.

Attend and complete all apprenticeship related training and activities required.
