Job summary
The post holder will use their expert knowledge lead a multi professional team to provide high quality, safe and personalised care for our population in line with key standards and commitments.The post holder will ensure that the NHS CHC team have the appropriatecompassionate, inclusive and value based leadership and, are professionally managed, clinically supervised and developed to ensure that we retain our valuable workforce to deliver the outcomes for the population they serve. In addition that we make best use of NHS resources and understand the needs of the population to ensure we commission and provide the appropriate care. The post holder must have a genuine passion for reducing health and social inequalities and ensuring inclusive practice at all times.

Main duties of the job
This roles leads on quality and patient safety and, has a key role to develop and maintain effective systems and processes for responding to patient safety incidents for the purpose of learning and improving patient safety and quality of services. This role will ensure that appropriate governance processes for oversight are in place and how learning responses are translated into improvement and integrated into wider improvement work across the ICB.The Head of Service - All Age NHS Continuing Health Care will ensurecompliance and contribute to the ICB plans and efficiency targets to ensure robust management of the All Age NHS Continuing Health Care CHC and workforce budget and financial plans. This will contribute to minimise financial risk to the ICB whilst meeting key quality standards and key performance indicators.The Head of Service - All Age NHS Continuing Health Care will lead on continuous service improvement through the use of resources such as data intelligence and feedback from patients, their families / carers and the system workforce.
