Job summary

NHS Birmingham and Solihull has an exciting opportunity for a motivated and enthusiastic Data Services Officer to join the Medicines Management and Optimisation (MMO) Team.The post holder will be working to support the implementation of the MMO strategy. The post offers an excellent opportunity for a candidate to develop their insight into primary care informatics and broaden their experience within different healthcare settings.With a main base of Alpha Tower building in the city centre there is an expectation that the successful candidate will be able to travel across the geography of Birmingham and Solihull, if required, and interact with colleagues that may need support from this role.

The MMO team have core operational hours between 8am to 6pm Monday to Friday; team members will work their agreed hours during this time. The ICB promotes flexible and agile working as a commitment to equality and making staff feel valued.

Main duties of the job

The Medicines Management and Optimisation Team is a large, dynamic, and innovative team, providing expertise for GPs and primary care clinicians as well as other healthcare partners across the region. As a Data Services Officer, you will be joining an innovative team helping to implement the ICS' strategy of improving care for people living in the Birmingham and Solihull footprint.Your responsibilities will include planning and implementing medicines management service priorities promoting high quality information management processes, prescribing and clinical data services evaluation, and innovative integration with stakeholders and service users. You will develop and maintain key relationships within the Medicines Management and Optimisation team as well as a wide range of healthcare teams and ICB colleagues.As a member of our team, patients will be at the heart of everything you do - you will be joining a team dedicated to delivering high quality care supported by extensive data and information services.
