We have an exciting opportunity for a Support Manager role within Birmingham and Solihull System Coordination Centre (SCC), a team dedicated to delivering high quality patient care, effectively managing risk and tackling heath inequalities across the system.

As the SCC Support Manager, you will be responsible for helping to identify, resolve and facilitate on issues that impact UEC output. You will undertake a range of tasks that ensure that efficient and effective pathways are created and maintained in a range of areas, such as patient flow, transfer of patient care, escalation management and other operational issues. The SCC Support Manager will support the SCC Manager in ensuring direction and guidance is clear and communicated to all key stakeholders

Main duties of the job

You will be responsible for providing system operational support and resilience across BSOL on a day-to-day basis, including:

  • Monitoring key operational, clinical and quality metrics via a range of dashboards to swifty identify deterioration in UEC performance across the system and escalate where required
  • Ensuring system assurance is established through clear actions and pre-set targets
  • Ensuring that patient safety and wellbeing is being considered at all times of increased system pressure
  • Support in the identification of opportunities for service developments and innovations

  • Prince 2, Agile, Managing Successful Projects or similar qualification or relevant experience
