Working with the Chief Information Officer for primary care, you will co-ordinate the, planning and delivery of an effective digital and information technology service. As part of the Senior collective leadership team develop the digital and data framework, leading, coordinating and directing the service to provide innovation and successful delivery of the strategy.

Main duties of the job

This role reflects the organisation's broad and varied programme and governance needs and the varying levels of responsibility and accountability. The role is involved in the effective planning, co-ordination and delivery of complex strategies, activities and projects and may involve clerical or administrative support, developing and implementing policy and processes, or providing specialist, expert advice and support. There will be a requirement for the individual to deputise for the overall ICB digital lead.

The Post holder will be responsible for leading a defined set of interdependent projects and the associated business change activities. Responsible for the successful delivery of the required outcomes, including governance and assurance, monitoring, risk management and ensuring the business is ready for change. Post holder will be expected to participate in senior on call arrangements as part of a rota within the ICB.

  • Educated to relevant Masters Degree level or equivalent experience
  • Significant management experience in a senior role including staff management.
  • Experience of successfully leading and implementing projects / programmes at a national level.
  • Ability to communicate complex technical concepts and analysis effectively to different organisations and audiences; including formal presentations e.g. Board level
  • To present and showcase achievements and progress of the programme
  • Ability to communicate effectively across different levels of an organisation.

Desirable

  • Working towards or holding up to date Technology accreditations (e.g. FEDIP, CHIME). Registered BCS professional member.
  • Ability to overcome barriers associated with conveying highly complex technical information to a non-technical audience.
