Job summary

This is an exciting opportunity to join the Pharmacy, Optometry and Dentistry Commissioning Hub for the South East Region. The Hub Team is hosted by Frimley ICB but works on behalf of all 6 ICBs in the South East. The successful candidate will be part of the team that has responsibility for commissioning Dental services, working in accordance with statutory requirements and national policy. The role requires excellent contract management and organisational skills, with operational management capability, and a collaborative approach to working across teams in the South East Region.

Whilst the base for this post is in the Frimley area, applicants are welcomed from across the Region. The team predominantly works from home and there will be no need to travel to a Frimley base on a regular basis.

Main duties of the job

  • Support teams to ensure that the portfolio of tasks/projects is planned, managed and delivered effectively.

  • Support and inform the targeting of resources, monitoring spend, implementation and evaluation of the tasks/projects by providing high quality support including complex information and analysis, communications and stakeholder management.
  • Ensure accurate and open communication and co-ordination with a range of organisations and individuals, researching and drafting correspondence and papers and ensuring the management of specific tasks, lead reporting and analysis across a range of specialties, functions and projects.

  • Be a key member of the team as well as supporting effective communication and stakeholder management, both internally and externally.

  • The post holder may be asked to maintain key data registers and to take oversight of key dental performance audits.

  • The post holder will manage communication with staff in systems where queries regarding dentistry are raised.

NHS Frimley Integrated Care Board was formed on 1 July 2022 under the Health and Care Act 2022, replacing NHS Frimley Clinical Commissioning Group.

As a Dental Contract Officer, the post holder will work as part of a dynamic team in delivering an effective service supporting managers and staff across the Commissioning team to support the commissioning and performance management of Dentistry.

In particular, the post holder will:
