Job summary

We are looking for a Head for Learning Disabilities and Autism for Frimley ICS. This is a wonderful time to join our portfolio team and to make a positive impact on the lives of vulnerable people across our communities. We are ambitious with our plans to ensure that we provide the absolute best for people with learning disabilities and autistic people - supporting them to live the life they choose.

Main duties of the job

This role is critical in leading our transformation programme across the Frimley Geography, collaborating with local authorities, our provider colleagues, and most importantly with people with lived experience to shape the future provision of services. You will also be responsible for ensuring that the residents from Frimley have the best support and care through leading our oversight and assurance function. We are looking for someone who shares our values, who is professionally qualified and is comfortable working in a matrix structure.

About us

If you successfully secure and commence employment with NHS Frimley CCG prior to the 1st July 2022, then your employment will transfer to NHS Frimley ICB using the principles of TUPE on 1st July 2022.

Knowledge, Training and Experience

Essential

  • Educated to masters level or equivalent level of experience of working at a senior level in specialist area. Extensive knowledge of Learning Disabilities,with a professional qualification in nursing or social work Evidence of post qualifying and continuing professional development Working understanding of the background to and aims of current health and social care policy, in terms of the long Tern Plan, and appreciate the implications of this on engagement Should have an understanding/ appreciation of the Frimley landscape, interdependencies with of neighbouring ICS' and the implications of these. Experience of working and leading LD and Autism Programmes Member of relevant professional body Experience of working across complex environment in a matrix way
