NHS Frimley is a part of the Frimley Health and Care Integrated Care System (ICS) which is one of the 14 exemplar ICSs in England.

The ICS is a partnership of organisations working together to improve health and care services for the populations in East Berkshire, North East Hampshire & Farnham and Surrey Heath. It takes a coordinating role in developing a shared vision for the best use of combined resources to make a positive difference for communities, residents, patients and staff.

The ICS is organised into five places:

  • Bracknell Forest
  • North East Hampshire and Farnham
  • Royal Borough of Windsor and Maidenhead
  • Slough
  • Surrey Heath

  • Provide senior leadership and management to Surrey Heath Place in all matters relating to local Primary Care Transformation including the development of Primary Care Networks, GP Practice services, Pharmacy services, Optometry services, Dental services, NHS 111 and GP Out of Hours services. This will include any changes to national, ICS and local commissioning arrangements in the future.
  • Provide senior leadership that enables integration and development of local primary care services with our wider community and social care to achieve better outcomes in our population.
  • Support the delivery and development of Primary Care at Place and act as the main point of contact for all independent Primary Care Contractors in Surrey Heath place, the Primary Care Network (PCN) and the Out of Hours provider.
  • Act as the main lead for primary care on behalf of Place with the Primary Care portfolio and with NHSE on behalf of the ICS as required.
  • Lead on the development and successful delivery of the Surrey Heath Primary Care Plan and implementation of the various Primary Care initiatives set out in the NHS Long-term Plan, ICS Primary Care Strategy and GP Contract Agreement. Elements of delivery will be in the local place and include others across the wider ICS geography.

About us

Integrated care systems (ICSs) are partnerships of health and care organisations, local government, and the voluntary sector. They exist to improve population health, tackle health inequalities, enhance productivity and help the NHS support broader social and economic development. The Integrated Care Board has taken on the CCGs' functions and broader strategic responsibility for overseeing healthcare strategies for the system.

In Surrey Heath place, we secure the local healthcare for the 97,000 people served by our 7 Member GP Practices (10 sites) in; Camberley, Bagshot, Lightwater, Frimley and Ash Vale. The quality of general practice in Surrey Heath is good and through the existing strong relationships we look to continue to deliver benefits for our local population.

Interviews will be during the week commencing 22nd August.
