Job summary

An exciting opportunity has arisen at Liverpool Place to recruit a highly visible leader who will have strategic and commissioning responsibilities for children and young people (CYP) aged 0 - 25 years with complex and multiple needs specifically relating to learning disabilities, neuro-disability and mental health.

We are seeking an enthusiastic, compassionate and dynamic individual who can lead developments across the multi-agency system (children and adult) to improve outcomes for this cohort of Children, Young People and their families/carers and ensure Liverpool Place is delivering to the aims of the Transforming Care agenda.

Main duties of the job

Utilising their clinical and commissioning skills the Programme Manager will challenge and influence at a systems level in order to unblock barriers and achieve positive system change for Children and Young People with complex and multiple needs and their families/carers. This will include:

  • identifying system gaps and develop proposed solutions in partnership with other stakeholders.
  • ensuring patient centred care and practice inclusivity
  • provide strategic leadership for the Transforming Care agenda for Children and Young People
  • chair multi-agency meetings and panels including Care Education and Treatment Reviews.
  • directly line manage the Dynamic Support Manager and have oversight of the operational implementation of the Keyworker function 0-25 years.
  • lead and participate in relevant internal and external working groups/projects, services and initiatives to provide, information and analytical advice and expertise

About us

This Post will sit within the Quality and Safeguarding structures at Liverpool Place supported and line managed by the Senior Programme Manager within the Mental Health and Learning Disabilities Team. Working as part of an established and supportive team, this role will be pivotal in delivering positive outcomes in a very complex area through building relationships within the team, the wider organisation and external stakeholders and partners.
