Job summary

As a Senior Project Manager, you will be responsible for the successful delivery of the reprocurement programme, working closely with NHS providers, local authorities, and community organisations. You will ensure that the programme aligns with strategic objectives and improves patient outcomes, while managing risks and ensuring compliance with governance frameworks.

About us

NHS South West London Integrated Care Board (ICB), as part of South West London Integrated Care System (ICS), is a partnership of organisations that come together to plan and deliver joined up health and care services to improve the lives of people in our six boroughs: Croydon, Merton, Kingston, Richmond, Sutton and Wandsworth.

Each ICS consists of two statutory elements:

  • an Integrated Care Board, bringing the NHS together with its partners locally to improve health and care services

  • Lead the operational planning and execution of the reprocurement programme, ensuring timely delivery of all milestones.
  • Develop and maintain project plans, ensuring that timelines, risks, and resources are effectively managed and adjusted as necessary.
  • Liaise with stakeholders, including NHS providers, local authorities, and community organisations, to ensure alignment and smooth service transitions
  • Report directly to the Programme Director, providing regular updates on project progress and key risks.
  • Proposes changes to own project and making recommendations for other project delivery.

Risk Management and Compliance

  • Proactively identify, manage, and escalate risks related to the project, particularly those associated with service transitions and compliance with the NHS Provider Selection Regime (PSR).
  • Ensure compliance with governance frameworks and legal obligations throughout the reprocurement process.
  • Monitor potential operational challenges and ensure contingency plans are in place.

Monitoring and Evaluation

  • Prepare regular project updates, performance dashboards, and strategic reports for the Programme Board and Lead Leadership.
  • Track and report on the success of service transitions, ensuring that the project delivers improved outcomes for patients, particularly in reducing health inequalities
  • Draft end of programme report capturing outcome, learning and recommendations for future programmes of work.
