Job summary
The post holder will support the Programme Leads, the Delivery Manger and the wider team to ensure that their portfolio of projects and services are planned and managed effectively and take the lead in assisting in their successful delivery
The post holder will:
o Lead on specific projects and deliverables
o Manage the Team's business support function, including developing and managing the team's business plan, progress and reporting risk and issue management
o Liaise with appropriate functions within the Place team and across SW London ICB
o Contribute to performance improvement, taking a lead for identified areas where agreed.
o Provide coordination of and participate in relevant internal and external working groups and provide project advice, expertise and support where requested
o Provide relevant and timely specialist advice and guidance on own portfolio of projects/function
o Work with members of the Team to investigate the causes of any variance from target/plan and proactively contribute to the implementation of solutions.
o Management of a risk and issues tracking mechanism and its proactive resolution and escalation processes
Main duties of the job
o The post holder will be required to maintain constructive relationships with a broad range of internal and external stakeholders, particularly key contacts within GP Practices, PCNs, Provider organisations and the London Boroughs of Merton and Wandsworth.
o Participate in relevant internal and external working groups/projects, services and initiatives to provide, information and analytical advice and expertise.
o Provide regular reporting on the targeting of resources and monitoring their implementation from a value for money perspective. Provide oversight and monitoring of all aspects of Team budgets Manage any budgets delegated to the postholder.
o Take a lead in the coordination of training, development and recruitment activity across the Team
o Provide day to day supervision of admin support.
o Contribute to the strategic planning of Team projects, identifying interdependencies across projects/functions, potential impacts on wider organisation, resource requirements and building in contingency and adjustments as necessary.
o Contribute to the development of performance and governance strategies and the development and implementation of improvement programmes.
o Contribute to short, medium and long term business plans, achieving quality outcomes.
o Contribute to the review and development of existing information management systems and contribute to the development of an integrated approach to, service or initiative management.
