There is an exciting opportunity in Kirklees to join the West Yorkshire ICB as a Quality Lead.
The post holder will contribute to robust quality assurance, oversight and improvement processes to ensure the system wide delivery of high quality care that is safe, effective and promotes a positive experience of care.
The post holder will support and enable delivery of the ICBs statutory functions related to quality and patient safety and provide quality- related expertise to Kirklees Place and the wider NHS West Yorkshire ICB.
The postholder will have excellent interpersonal skills and the ability to operate as an effective team player building positive and productive relationships with system partner organisations keeping a real focus on making a difference for people. You will need to be able to prioritise and proactively manage your own workload.
The role will contribute to the ICBs commitment to demonstrating continuous improvement in patient outcomes and experience, and a reduction in unwarranted system and service variation.

Main duties of the job
Contribute to the development and management of the ICBs quality and safety agenda working to monitor high quality effective and efficient health and care services.
Initiate and support effective partnership working across the ICS, and with other organisations across the health and care community to facilitate improvements in clinical quality and experience across pathways of care.
Provide support for current systems and processes to maintain robust quality oversight of patient safety and experience and response to quality concerns.
Act as a point of expertise and knowledge resource on specific aspects of quality surveillance, assurance, and improvement.
Use QI methodology to lead on continuous QI projects, working with colleagues in clinical and non-clinical teams to facilitate implementation of action plans and improvements.
Work in partnership with other members of the quality team to ensure support is provided from a quality perspective throughout all stages of the commissioning cycle.
Lead on specific work-related projects, as determined by needs, ensuring delivery within timescales and using strong evaluation skills to quantify the success of the project.
Co-ordinate and undertake quality assurance visits to assess care facilities, services and organisational arrangements to seek assurance that care minimises risk of harm and promotes safety and a positive experience for patients and their carers.
Participate in contract management.
