Job summary
A fantastic and rare opportunity has arisen for an enthusiastic, professional and compassionate finance professional to lead the Financial Governance team in the award-winning NHS West Yorkshire Integrated Care System.
We are looking for a highly motivated and experienced finance professional. You will have demonstrated your ability and commitment to deliver excellent financial accounting and financial services advice at a senior level and have a proven track record of collaboration and partnership. You will be an excellent team player, have strong professional integrity and standards, and act with emotional intelligence, resilience and care for others.
You will lead on the ongoing development of the ICB as it works towards achieving Level 2 and Level 3 One NHS Finance accreditation. This will involve working across the organisation to pursue excellence in all we do, and demonstrate how this is integrated into the ways of working and the culture of the ICB finance team.

Main duties of the job
This is a key role within the ICB, responsible for leading on all aspects of financial governance for the ICB; management of the performance of the Financial Accounting/Services team, ensuring the delivery of a professional, dynamic, efficient and proactive service to meet the needs of the ICB; managing the production of the ICB's annual accounts and their audit, and supporting the production of the annual report; planning and management of the ICB's cash position, receivables and creditors, and contributing to the development of the financial strategy and associated financial plans amongst other key responsibilities.
The postholder will work closely with colleagues within the ICB and across the wider system, building strong relationships with a range of colleagues across the partnership including Directors of Finance, ICB Directors, wider system partners and other finance colleagues. It provides an excellent opportunity to build networks which are of value to both the postholder and the system.
