The West Yorkshire Health and Care Partnership (NHS West
Yorkshire Integrated Care Board) is providing a fantastic opportunity to join
the Improving Population Health Programme.
We are seeking to appoint an experienced project manager to join the
team working to drive down inequalities and embed prevention across West
Yorkshire.
The Improving Population Health Programme has a broad
portfolio for prevention across West Yorkshire including responding to and
delivering on National Programmes, developing priorities and projects with our
partners at place (Bradford Airedale and Craven, Calderdale, Kirklees, Leeds
and Wakefield), working with other West Yorkshire Programmes and responding to
the increased challenges as a result of the COVID-19 pandemic and growing
economic crisis.
Our work spans the
whole lifecycle from preconception to ageing well including the
intergenerational impact on health inequalities and prevention, contributing to
our population living safe and healthy lives.
Main duties of the job
The post holder will support the Improving Population Health Programme
Manager and Senior Programme Manager on all aspects of prevention and will be
responsible for:
developing
and working collaboratively with partners and stakeholders
Supporting the development and
implementation of evidence-based prevention and targeted prevention projects
across West Yorkshire
delivering national requirements alongside
local priorities
identifying and sharing good practice that
could be accelerated and replicated across West Yorkshire
Routinely
horizon scan and ensure ongoing awareness of the wider international, national,
and local policy developments/guidelines/statutory obligations and continually
review these for impact upon areas of work.

- Knowledge of the West Yorkshire Health and Care Partnership and the key priorities for the Partnership
- An in-depth knowledge and understanding of whole system working and how integrated working can improve outcomes.
- Knowledge and awareness of national policy initiatives with regards to Improving Population Health specifically a Public Health Approach to prevention and reducing health inequalities and smoking.
- Practical experience of managing multiple successful projects, including the development of complex project management frameworks, monitoring and review processes.
- Proven successful planning and organisation experience.
- Performance management, including monitoring of delivery to timescales.
- Ability to efficiently prioritise own workload and the workload of others whilst working within very tight deadlines and with differing priorities.
- Excellent interpersonal skills and experience of collaborative working essential, with proven ability to communicate with colleagues at all levels across a wide range of organisations.
