Job summary
An opportunity has arisen for an enthusiastic and highly motivated Health and Care Professions Council (HCPC) registered dietitian, with a passion for nutrition support, to join our innovative prescribing and medicines optimisation team. The post holder will work under the guidance of the specialist prescribing support dietitian and alongside one other specialist care home support dietitian to support the delivery of optimal nutritional care in care homes across Cornwall and the Isles of Scilly.
Main duties of the job
The post holder will be involved in audit and the provision of training on nutritional screening (MUST), nutritional care plans and a 'Food First' approach. They will work with the medicines optimisation team, dietitians and wider multi-disciplinary team to target nutrition and hydration within care homes. There will also be an opportunity to focus on developing new and innovative ways of delivering training and resources digitally. This post will help support ongoing work on the cost-effective and appropriate prescribing of oral nutritional supplements (ONS).
