Job summary
We have an exciting position available to work within a busy and varied
finance team. You will need to be either educated to AAT part qualified member
or equivalent experience.
The successful candidate will become a key member of the finance team and will
need to quickly learn monthly processes, be able to work on their own
initiative as well as under supervision. You must be able to demonstrate
experience of working in a financial environment, and possess good technical
accounting skills and excel skills, be capable of working to tight deadlines whilst
ensuring consistency and accuracy.
This role will suit someone who is able to work flexibly and adapt to changing
working practices.

Main duties of the job
The postholder will be
responsible for providing support across all aspects of the Health & Social Care Commissioning
within the Finance team.
Monitoring budgets for Health & Social Care.
You will have a key role in the monitoring, recording and forecasting of the Health & Social care
Budgets both on a monthly and annual basis.
You will need to analyse the information from the financial system for corporate reporting and
budget holder reporting and prepare information for annual accounts working papers
You will provide significant support to the Finance Manager to provide accurate and timely financial
information to ensure Health & Social Care commissioning budgets are managed effectively.
You will analyse financial information for budget holders and corporate team, answering queries,
explaining variances, discrepancies and understanding general financial queries
You will be expected to communicate with staff members about issues effecting financial positions
