Job summary

The Risk Compliance Officer is responsible for supporting the development and implementation of the organisation's risk management approach. Working closely with colleagues across the organisation. The post holder will also provide support to the Governance Manager - Risk and wider team in planning, managing, and successfully delivering risk-related programs.

Main duties of the job

  1. Risk Management:
  • Assist in the development and implementation of the organization's risk management framework and policies.
  • Collaborate with colleagues to identify and assess potential risks, develop risk mitigation strategies, and monitor risk mitigation activities.
  • Conduct regular risk assessments, analyse findings, and provide recommendations for risk control measures.
  • Keep up-to-date with industry best practices and regulatory requirements related to risk management.
  1. Continuous Improvement:
  • Regularly review and update risk management procedures, policies, and documentation.
  • Collaborate with stakeholders to identify areas for improvement and implement appropriate changes.
  • Stay abreast of emerging trends, regulations, and best practices in risk management.

3. Other Duties:

  • Undertake any other duties as reasonably required by the line manager to support risk management efforts.

  • Educated to degree level in relevant subject or equivalent level qualification or significant experience of working at a similar level in specialist area
  • Post-graduate degree in Management Studies or equivalent
  • Significant experience of successfully operating in a politically sensitive environment
  • Evidence of continued professional development
  • Demonstrated experience of coordinating projects in complex and challenging environments
  • Experience of managing risks and reporting
  • Experience of drafting briefing papers and correspondence at SMT level
