As we build a

prevention and population health management transforms the health and wellbeing
of a population, we are appointing a Head of Strategic Planning and
Partnerships.
This is a senior role within the Strategy and Transformation Directorate
of NHS Dorset Integrated Care Board, a Directorate that provides high quality leadership,
strategic transformation and planning, and project and programme
management. Focussed on delivery and
implementation to achieve lasting change across the Integrated Care System. We support inward investment opportunities by
leading, co-writing, or supporting the development of integrated care system
bids and sourcing the most appropriate funding. We also support the active
research and innovation collaboratives, with the intent on bringing the
benefits of research to the population of Dorset.
Main duties of the job
The successful candidate will lead in the development and implementation
of the ICP (Integrated Care Partnership) strategy and Five-Year Joint Forward
Plan to deliver that strategy. Critical will be to engage and work with the
multiple organisations that make up the Dorset system: voluntary sector,
industry, Local Authorities, academia and health.
The Head of Strategic Planning and
Partnerships is a senior role working at the strategic level across
organisations in the system and will work as part of an exciting team committed
to delivering successful transformational change programmes within Dorsets
Integrated Care System to Improve outcomes for our Dorset population.
To be
successful in this position, you will need to be a dynamic,
innovative and highly collaborative individual with proven senior management
experience of delivering strategy and strategic planning across large complex
organisations.
You should have
relevant and up to date experience and can demonstrate at interview the skills
required to work within strategy and strategic planning environments at the
strategic level across professional and organisational boundaries.

PURPOSE
As the strategic planning and partnership
lead for NHS Dorset, this role will provide senior leadership and
management with their own team and across the Dorset system in the development

Strategic Planning

Responsible
for leading the coordination of NHS Dorset's
contribution to the ICP strategy development, implementation, and review.

of benefits realization framework that will evidence the delivery of the ICP
strategy across NHS Dorset.

with the Chief and Deputy Chief Strategy and
Transformation Officers to develop and enable key risks to strategic
delivery to be tracked and mitigated.
- Lead the
strategic assessment for NHS Dorset understanding, analysing and gaining
insight from across the external, national, regional and local areas. Making assessments on the opportunities/ risks
impact and implications for NHS Dorset current policies and plans and where we
can influence national agendas.

the lead for horizon scanning and seeking new opportunities to transform NHS
Dorset including the external trends, thinking and developments across
international institutions, think tanks, academia and commercial
