Job summary

This is an exciting role within a successful integrated care system. BLMK ICB is working with the Institute of Health Improvement to grow and build our system's services to residents based on reducing health inequalities. We are proud of our diverse community and our CMO will continue to build on the work already started to ensure services meet the needs of people who live in BLMK. Working with our local authority, VCSE and other partners, the ICB is focussing on building services that support our residents to thrive and to reduce years lived in ill health.

BLMK ICB hosts specialised commissioning for the East of England, our CMO will be linked to that team, ensuring specialised services for our residents grow.

We expect that our CMO will want to continue clinical practice and are happy to discuss how this can be accommodated.

The CMO will support the development and delivery of the long-term plan of the Integrated Care Board (ICB), using innovation and continuous improvement working with the CNO and the Institute for Health Improvement. They will ensure our health services strategy reflects and integrates with the strategies of all relevant partner organisations of the ICB. They will ensure the clinical opportunities of the delegation of specialised services commissioning to ICBs (hosted for East region ICBs by BLMK) are realised for our population.
