ICB Work & Health Integration Lead

Job summary

To lead on mobilising service integration on work and health across the ICB footprint, in line with identified population health need, to increase workforce participation for disabled people and people with health conditions who face health and social barriers to good work. The role complements the 4th aim of ICSs: to help the NHS support broader social and economic development.

Main duties of the job

1. Take a lead role in ensuring buy-in from key stakeholders to establishing an ICS-wide Work and Health Partnership

2. Strategically engage with the leadership of the ICB and the BLMK Health and Care Partnership.

3. Take a lead role in driving the Work and Health Partnership to have a full understanding of population work and health needs, mapping existing work and health provision gaps and assets, and opportunities for greater integration to ensure improved outcomes

4. Develop service integration delivery plans, including the work and health measures announced in the 2023 Spring Budget, and make links with other opportunities, including the levelling-up and devolution agendas.

5. Lead the development and implementation of objectives in the WorkWell Partnership Programme (WWPP), working with LAs and DWP/JCP networks.

6. Management of relevant programme budgets associated with the Integrate Work and Health Strategy

7. Work with ICB Place link directors and place leads to ensure delivery of employment and health initiatives at place level.

8. Work with regional work and health advisors, social prescribing link workers, employment services, and similar, as required, and look to other regional ICBs to share learning.

  • Evidence of post qualifying and continuing professional development
  • Project Management qualification or equivalent experience

  • Experience in a leadership role in Health and Care environment
