Job summary

The Transformation Hub - Benefits Realisation Lead will work alongside other senior system leaders across all organisations in the ICS footprint to develop a benefits realisation framework that supports the health care system to deliver healthier happier lives for the population of BNSSG.

The core purpose of the role is to bring expertise and lead the design and delivery of a benefits realisation framework that secures the delivery of programme and project benefits and ultimately better outcomes for people. This will include the delivery of a methodology for identifying, calculating, planning, and realising benefits.

Main duties of the job

This is a complex role that requires a mindset and expertise that can bridge cutting edge practice, innovation, and innovative practice alongside tried and tested models of benefits realisation and delivery. The post holder will be required to drive evidence based and insights led practice, establish, and maintain a grip on delivery and embed these practices and capabilities through teaching and training within the transformation Hub and wider ICB.

The main duties of the job are:

  • Lead the development of a benefits realisation framework for BNSSG that enables the ICB to understand and realise the benefits of change
  • Champion the benefits realisation framework and approach through thought leadership and bringing people together
  • Drawing together data, evidence, and insight to create a consistent approach to identifying, categorising and mapping benefits
  • Create a set of training and teaching tools that enable practitioners to easily apply the benefits realisation framework including benefits calculation and quantification, dependency mapping and benefits planning

Knowledge, Training and Experience

Essential

  • Educated to masters level in relevant subject or equivalent level of experience of working at a similar level in specialist area
  • Knowledge of emerging policy and practice, and regional and local health economy drivers
  • Leadership of benefits realisation policy and practice
  • Proven and significant leadership experience.
  • Significant evidence of continued professional development
  • Demonstrated expertise in a Healthcare environment
  • Significant management experience at senior level in the NHS or other public healthcare related industry
  • Clear track record of successful delivery of highly complex system wide programmes of innovation and service change
