Main duties of the job
To drive greater integration and new models of working and service transformation, to commission services in line with the Integrated Care System and Integrated Care Board's strategic plans. Responsible for the delivery of the local mental health programmes of work in the context of the NHS Long Term Plan and the Surrey One System Plan for mental health.The role will require to:oLead on the Mental Health Commissioning programme of work. Ensure delivery of various work streams within agreed timeframes.oDrive service transformation and delivery of services in line with the NHS Long Term Plan. oLead the development of joint commissioning frameworks to improve integrated working and service delivery between the NHS and the Local Authority, where this will drive improved patient services and greater value for money.oEnsure these commissioning frameworks are supported by contracts which are appropriately negotiated, monitored and reviewed.oSupport the Integrated Care Board (ICB) & Integrated Care System (ICS) to develop its negotiating strategy, setting out agreed strategic commissioning objectives, working collaboratively with local authorities and other partners, as required.oOversee and co-ordinate the development of annual plans and monitoring of delivery in year.oCollaborate and support the lead commissioners for Surrey and the local authority in programmes of responsibility.
