This is a critical supporting role, which will enable the efficient functioning of the Surrey Heartlands ICB Contracting Team, focusing on support for contract management or procurement programme delivery as per assigned portfolios.

The post holder will provide high level administrative and business support and will be expected to work as part of a dynamic team to provide an effective service, assisting senior managers and staff across the contracting and/or procurement portfolio.

Interviews to be held week commencing 19th August in Dukes Court, Woking.

Main duties of the job

The postholder is expected to have a thorough understanding of the complexities of the NHS and be able to work within a busy and dynamic environment.

The post holder will manage their own workload on a day-to-day basis, assist in establishing and embedding contracting processes, refine departmental procedures and act independently to action and prioritise work to meet deadlines.

Day to day responsibilities will include logistical arrangements for meetings, Minute-taking and the establishment and maintenance of Action Logs, Decision Logs and Risk Registers to support the contracting team in the delivery of their work. Contract Managers may request support with contractual administrative tasks in addition to logistical arrangements such as assisting in the development of contract templates, compiling evidence records of contract compliance requirements & maintaining accurate and timely recording of contract related information in the designated systems and databases.

The postholder will support record keeping and meeting administration of Procurement Programmes & the production of highlight and summary reports in support of or in the absence of the team's Procurement & Programmes Manager.

The post holder will display excellent organisational, oral and written communication skills including Minute-taking along with the ability to prioritise their workload. A flexible approach is required along with excellent attention to detail, whilst being motivated, enthusiastic & proactive.
