Job summary

An exciting opportunity has arisen for a Business Support Officer to join the Surrey Heartlands Digital First Programme to help the team achieve its aim of providing an effective digital offer for Surrey Heartlands Primary Care, that empowers residents and staff to look after their health and access relevant care at the point of need.

The teams' work aligns with the national vision for integrating Primary Care, as laid out in the Fuller Stocktake, through improving access, experience and outcomes for communities. The role will allow the post holder the opportunity to work closely with colleagues across a range of IT and digital projects that are helping achieve this vision within Surrey Heartlands. There is a real opportunity to see how the work you are doing is benefiting our local population.

We are looking for an individual that enjoys working as part of a team and can enable, promote and support the effective use of data, information, knowledge and technology to improve, inform and support the portfolio of projects, services and initiatives undertaken by the Team.

The successful applicant will need to be able to work under pressure, be responsive to fast moving deadlines and maintain constructive relationships with a broad range of stakeholders.

Main duties of the job

This role provides a great opportunity to be an integral part of Surrey Heartlands Primary Care IT & Digital team.

The Business Support Officer supports the delivery of Primary Care IT & Digital projects in Surrey Heartlands and is a key member of the Team. You will work closely to support the project managers, programme manager, programme sponsors and other stakeholders to ensure the projects are planned, managed, delivered and evaluated in a timely and effective manner.

You will be comfortable with handling large amounts of information, supporting the collation of reports and papers linked to project and programme progress for stakeholders. You will also support the project managers to maintain programme documentation, as well as understanding, highlight and document risk, issues and actions, ensuring early identification and proactive mitigation where possible and ensuring concerns are escalated promptly.

The Primary Care IT & Digital team is looking for professionals from across the healthcare system as well as those with diverse backgrounds, expertise, and professional experience.
