Job summary

This is an exciting new apprenticeship opportunity within the People Directorate of Surrey Heartlands Health and Care Partnership. The post holder will be an enthusiastic individual who will be highly motivated to develop their knowledge, skills and ability to work as an active member of the ICS People Function supporting various programmes, projects and workstreams. The successful candidate will receive support, supervision and training to gain confidence, knowledge and experience in the health and social care sector, and to build a portfolio of evidence for apprenticeship accreditation.

Main duties of the job

  • Acting as point of contact for the People Teams, providing a friendly, helpful and supportive service.
  • Building good working relationships with colleagues across the People Directorate, wider organisation and ICS.
  • Liaising with internal and external service providers.
  • Maintaining accurate records, prepare documents, send invites, respond to queries and coordinate feedback and evaluation activities.
  • Organising and planning events, arrange venues, facilities and hospitality (where appropriate) for events ensuring they are accessible, inclusive and run smoothly
  • Working with all team members in the collection of information for performance reporting on relevant projects.
  • Regularly running and collating statistical reports which may include reports to the Board and senior management as required.
  • Supporting the Associate Director of Healthy Careers with administration for priority careers workstreams.

About us

The role will require the applicant to work mainly from home, however, travel to an ICS office at Reigate, Woking, Guildford and/or Epsom will be required as needed.

Two positions are currently available and post holders will support the People Function Teams by providing proactive administration services, supporting the leadership team with the management of programmes, projects and workstreams including for example, the preparation of meeting agendas and minutes, taking appropriate follow-up action as required, gathering and preparing information in various document formats such as word, excel and power-point, undertaking enquiries and other general administration tasks as and when necessary.
