Job summary
With a track record of providing first-class and timely HR advice to services and managers in a multidisciplinary team environment, the Senior People Advisor has a key role in collaborating with colleagues to deliver support and interventions at strategic and operational levels. All the team's activities are closely aligned with the NHS People Plan and other relevant strategic frameworks, including the Workforce Race Equality Strategy.
Main duties of the job
In the Senior People Advisor role, you provide a pro-active professional HR service to the ICB, across all employment matters, and provide specialist advice on a full range of generalist HR issues. In particular, your experience and expertise will be proven as you:
o Promote a positive, proactive approach to people management in the ICB, advocating for an open, fair and transparent employment relations environment
o Develop partnerships with trade union representatives and managers to achieve a Just and Learning culture
o Provide high quality, consistent HR advice and coaching/training to line managers in investigating, presenting and resolving employee relation issues, ensuring consistent application of employment law and best practice
o Contribute to developing and reviewing HR policies through research and best practice, and use specialist knowledge to interpret policies and procedures
o Maintain the employee relations ER Tracker for your own caseload, analysing and interpreting data and information to provide casework statistics and progress reports
o Remain calm, empathetic and logical when effectively managing a range of situations
