Job summary

An exciting and challenging opportunity has arisen for a PMO Officer to join the newly formed PMO team in North East London ICB.

We are looking for an enthusiastic and experienced PMO Officer with a track record and experience of supporting end-to-end transformation, including prioritisation, impact reporting and assurance. They will be required to support and maintain good working relationships with a broad range of senior internal and external stakeholders, across strategic, operational, and business-sensitive issues. They will be a trusted direct source of transformation delivery expertise to these stakeholders, providing meaningful challenge, advice, and feedback across the system.

This role is a fixed term contract until 31 March 2025. The successful candidate will be required to spend their time flexibly work within the central PMO team and out with key stakeholders, such as urgent and emergency care to enable delivery of portfolios and /or programmes of work.

Main duties of the job

The role of the PMO Officer is to support end-to-end transformation, including prioritisation, impact reporting, and assurance. The role will:o support PMO colleagues in the monitoring of core delivery unit resources to transformation programmes, in line with the prioritisation process; o contribute to the measurement of the impact of NEL's transformation programmes and supporting teams to improve this where necessary;o support of risk management and governance processes across the portfolio and supporting programmes;o coordinate the Transformation and PMO Forum;o contribute to the maintenance of the Transformation and PMO Toolkit; and o supporting the coordination of the Transformation and PMO training programme. o Managing financial processes e.g. raising of Purchase Orders (Pos) and invoices as required.The PMO Officer will support and coordinate elements of the portfolio management office's work.This role will also provide line management within the portfolio management team, including pastoral care and support with professional development, as well as leading on the development of professional skills and standards.
