Job summary

As a Primary Care Commissioning Officer, the post holder will work as part of a dynamic team in delivering an effective service supporting managers and staff across the Primary Care Commissioning to manage commissioning and performance management of GP contracts across the North East London (NEL) area.

The post holder will support the Head of Primary Care and NEL team to ensure that their work stream of programmes are planned and managed effectively and take the lead in assisting in their successful delivery:

Main duties of the job

Support programme work streams, including support the management of the team's work plan, escalating risks and issues, as appropriate

Lead on change projects such as practice closures, relocations and mergers

Manage the Team's business support function, including developing, managing and implementing the team's work plans and sharing best practice/ learning across teams

Report and progress managing contract risks and issues

Support the management of all corporate business returns

Resolving day to day incoming queries, including generic mailbox issues, escalating where appropriate

Lead on managing the process for payments and claims such as quarterly Directed Enhanced Services (DES) claims, locum reimbursement claims, Care Quality Commission (CQC) reimbursement claims
