Job summary

We are seeking to recruit an experienced clinician from the field of continuing health to join our well established CHC Quality Assurrance Team. Due to increase in our services, there is an opportunity for an additional band 7 Quality assurance person to join us at North East London ICB .

The post holder is responsible for ensuring that all CHC processes implemented are compliant with legislative and national guidance and in accordance with the responsibilities of the ICBs.

Maintain a robust decision-making process including for the ratification of MDT recommendation and where there is a panel, to monitor its running and processes are in accordance with the CHC Framework for Older People, Physical Disabilities & Complex Needs, Mental Health and Learning Disabilities.

Main duties of the job

To work with Mental Health Trust and LA partners for Section 117 of the Mental Health Act in relation to after care, in the context of continuing care.

Required for the role :

  • Registered Nurse RGN, RMN or RNLD or Allied Health Professional with qualification.
  • Significant knowledge of the CHC framework and its application
  • Good knowledge of NHS and social services guidance.
  • Strong knowledge base around safeguarding children and adults
  • Evidence of teaching/mentorship
  • Clinical knowledge base in order to ensure comprehensive holistic assessment for continuing care
  • A background that can demonstrate clinical experience in a healthcare setting including inter-agency and multi-agency working
  • Evidence of continued professional development
  • Competent in IT including good typing skills. Able to work with a database, Excel, Micros

This is an opportunity for both personal and professional development and you will be given suitable training to enable you to verify the MDT recommendations in accordance with the framework for CHC.The successful candidate for this post will need to be self-motivated and able to work under their own initiative, work autonomously as well as within a team and have excellent time management skills. People management skills and the ability to deal with difficult and challenging situations is also essential.
