Job summary
The senior workforce programme manager is responsible for managing complex projects under a programme of work with a North East London system wide focus on education and apprenticeships. This will include coordinating and planning national, or London programmes linked to strategies such as the NHS Long Term Plan, People Promise and Skills for Care workforce strategy, ensuring we successfully deliver these for employers and the residents of North east London. You will be working with local partners across North East London to identify localised or sector specific challenges and putting interventions in place or making recommendations to relevant groups.
The post holder will coordinate the North East London apprentice programme and associated North East London apprentice working group, ensuring the North East London system meets national KPIs linked to apprentice utilisation and that the North East London system is well placed to become a leader in apprentice provision. The post holder will be the link between the national/regional apprenticeship team and apprentice leads across North East London.
Bringing a detailed knowledge of project management, apprenticeships and education the Senior Workforce Programme Manager will play a pivotal role in the large-scale transformation which is being undertaken within North East London to enable health and care to be delivered to patients.
Main duties of the job
- The NEL apprentice programme. Ensuring the NEL system meets national targets aroundapprentice starts and that the system is well placed to become a leader in apprenticeprovision.
- To coordinate system wide bids for funding opportunities that address a system need orchallenges in the apprentice or education area.
- To effectively build relationships with key personnel at NEL further education and highereducation providers to ensure the needs of the health and care sector are being met.
- Responsible for supporting the delivery of large-scale service reconfiguration programmes toensure continuous improvements in the delivery of patient services and achievement of NELICS strategic objectives.
- Communicate effectively, build, and maintain strong influential relationships with a wide rangeof stakeholders across all NEL partner organisations that are particularly invested in theprogramme,
- Ensure the design and development of the workforce regarding the delivery of theprogrammes, i.e., workforce plans, role redesign, recruitment plans, and working patterns,
