Job summary
The Workforce Transformation Manager is responsible for managing complex projects under a programme of work with a North East London system wide recruitment and retention focus. The projects will include coordinating and planning national, or London programmes linked to strategies such as the NHS Long Term Plan, People Promise and Skills for Care workforce strategy. It will also include working with local partners across North East London to identify localised or sector specific challenges and putting interventions in place or making recommendations to relevant groups.
Bringing a broad knowledge of project management, workforce planning, recruitment, retention and wellbeing, the Workforce Transformation Manager will play a pivotal role in the large-scale transformation which is being undertaken within North East London to enable health and care to be delivered to patients.
The post holder will lead and manage programmes, bringing partners together from multiple organisations that deliver programmes across the North East London Integrated Care System. The post holder will be expected to build and maintain relationships with a range of partners across NEL.
Main duties of the job
- Responsible for supporting the delivery of service reconfiguration programmes to Recruit and retain staff to ensure continuous improvements in the delivery of patient services and achievement of NEL ICS strategic objectives.
- Communicate effectively, build, and maintain strong influential relationships with a wide range of stakeholders across all NEL partner organisations that are particularly invested in the programme, including Staff Side and other unions.
- Ensure the design and development of the workforce regarding the delivery of the programmes, i.e., workforce plans, role redesign, recruitment plans, and working patterns, are sufficiently agile to optimise workforce utilisation, to meet the needs of the proposed and future service demands in line with the proposed changes.
- To support on various system wide workforce initiatives and programmes with responsibility for the development and implementation of these areas.
- Develop and provide expertise and knowledge, which will focus on workforce growth.
- Implement the NEL ICS people and workforce strategy for workforce growth and transformation in line with the 'one workforce' commitment.
- Development of evidence-based business cases and reports for making recommendations for workforce transformation.
- Developing engagement and partnerships to ensure inclusive working across multiprofessional groups and all sectors (NHS, social care, community, MH, voluntary and others).
