Job summary
The post-holder will be responsible for providing senior information governance and data protection expertise and insight to BAU operations, programmes and projects to achieve beneficial changes in line with the strategic goals of the ICB. This role will provide thought leadership on information governance requirements across stakeholders in the context of the emerging Integrated Care Systems (ICS) and to include projects concerned with information sharing, interoperability, and citizen facing digital solutions, with a specific focus on ensuring the ICB submits a successful DSPT toolkit and records management, supporting asset owners and auditing internal processes and practice across the ICB.
Main duties of the job
- Postholder has responsibility and accountability for own work area and leads independently on this.o Oversee team members' delivery of day to day activities and projects and business initiatives.o Support a portfolio of initiatives; demonstrating value for money through tracking, managing and delivering agreed benefits.o Deliver effective stakeholder management across different departments and at all levels.o Manage the Records Management / Information Asset Management Framework, including naming conventions, filing structures and file plans. Support the management of archiving and appropriate retention and destruction of official records.o Support staff and stakeholder in the provision of appropriate filing structures, access control and management of electronic information.o Responsible for providing training in information governance and undertaking basic workplace assessments of practice.o Developing and supporting a culture of high-quality information governance management practice including providing advice and guidance on the operation of corporate policies where appropriate to staff.

This includes the management of assurance, evidence and audit of significant providers of services to the ICBand the escalation of issues of quality, risk and management through the appropriate channels and in conjunction with the Senior Information Governance Manager and Senior InformationRisk Owner.
