0.7 WTE (3.5 days per week) Formulary Pharmacist for up to 12 months maternity cover
An exciting opportunity has arisen for a motivated formulary pharmacist to join the fabulous NEL ICB Pharmacy and Medicines Optimisation team to provide up to 12 months maternity leave cover. The team works as a multi-disciplinary group of individuals, who operate with a broad range of skills and experience. We are key enablersfor collaboration and integration across all health and social care partners in the NEL Integrated Care System. As a team player you will be supported to fully commit to this way of working, especially with regards to transformational work with medicines and pharmacy.
Main duties of the job
You will be responsible for supporting the formulary processes across the interface leading on the entry of new drugs and pathways to the local health economy and update of the medicines formulary in collaboration with partners and stakeholders across NEL. You will work closely with formulary teams in provider Trusts and will represent the ICB Pharmacy and Medicines Optimisation Team as a core member of the NEL Formulary & Pathways Group. In addition, you will lead on the development of a shared formulary platform across the system, in partnership with NEL formulary leads, to help reduce inequity in access to medicines. You will also lead or contribute to our varied other workstreams, including shared care, guidelines, position statements and clinical pathways.
Joining our team will give you the support and opportunity to further develop your abilities as a senior leader, as you navigate working across both the ICB Pharmacy and Medicines Optimisation Team and the wider ICS.

The NEL Pharmacy and Medicines Optimisation team is working to achieveequitable access and outcomes of medicines for local people across North East London, working with a wide range of stakeholders and professionals to deliver outputs for our residents that support cost effective, safe prescribing with access to evidence-based medicines.
We are looking for a keen individual with an eye for detail who can help shape the formulary and medicines pathways agenda across NEL. You will be a key member of the Formulary and Commissioning team, providing support and guidance on formulary queries, new drug introductions, guidelines, High Cost Drug pathways, as well as interface queries from primary and secondary care.

- Master's degree in Pharmacy or equivalent level qualification
- Registered pharmacist with the General Pharmaceutical Council
- Post-graduate Diploma in Clinical Pharmacy or equivalent
Experience

- Extensive pharmacy experience in primary care, hospital and/or community or experience of providing prescribing support to primary care organisations or practices
- Experience of multidisciplinary working
