Job summary

Do you have excellent communication skills, enthusiasm and a real desire to be part of a consistently developing team? This is an exciting opportunity for an experienced individual who will be able to provide high quality administrative support to the System Resilience and Urgent & Emergency Care Teams who work across NHS Sussex. The post holder will be required to work to agreed timeframes, maintain high administrative standards, be proactive and flexible in their approach to their workload and be able to prioritise their workload effectively.

Main duties of the job

The post holder will communicate with a range of key stakeholders across NHS Sussex and external partner organisations to support meeting coordination and excellent written and verbal communication skills are essential for this role. The successful candidate will be expected to provide administrative support for internal and external meetings including minute taking and maintaining action logs, therefore minute taking experience is essential. The post holder will also be a first point of contact for the team responding to queries. Good working knowledge of Microsoft products including MS Teams, Outlook, Word, Excel and PowerPoint would be desirable.

The post would suit someone who has significant administrative experience and who is committed to supporting improving outcomes for our local population and patients across Sussex.

Information, communication and administration underpin the work of the Resilience Team. The Resilience Business Administrator role provides integral support to the team and their wider system partners.

The post holder will be responsible for providing high quality effective and efficient administrative support. The post holder will need to be able to work to meet deadlines, collate data and maintain standards relating to administrative / reporting processes.

They will need to be able to work within a team effectively and work proactively, utilising their initiative. The post holder will be highly motivated and flexible with excellent organizational and communication skills.

  • NVQ Level 3 in relevant subject or equivalent level of qualification
  • Intermediate knowledge of IT systems and software programmes such as Outlook, Word and Excel

Experience

  • Effective personal skills
  • Experience of PHBs

Desirable

  • Demonstrate experience of working in an administrative environment and working with Computerised data systems
