Sexual Violence Trauma Pathfinder Project Support Officer

Job summary

Funded by NHS England until July 2025 (with possibility of extension subject to further funding), we are looking to recruit a confident, committed Programme Lead to drive the Devon and Cornwall Sexual Violence Trauma Pathfinder project. You will be supporting innovative and transformational system change to the benefit of people experiencing sexual violence related trauma.

This is an ambitious and complex programme of work requiring collaboration with multiple partners including Plymouth, Devon, Torbay and Cornwall Councils, NHS Devon ICB, Cornwall CCG, the Office of the Police and Crime Commissioner and Strategic Delivery partner Victim Support, service providers and people with lived experience.

You will work with a group of committed, knowledgeable and connected system leaders in the Trauma Pathfinder Steering Group whose collective ambition is to radically improve our understanding of - and response to - sexual violence and abuse.

Main duties of the job

The postholder will required to;

· Work Peninsular wide across the complex landscape sexual violence service provision.

  • Provide support to the Sexual Violence Trauma Pathfinder Programme Lead in all aspects of programme delivery

· Demonstrate exceptional interpersonal skills, including an ability to diplomatically manage complex competing needs and interests effectively.

· Provide and receive highly complex, sensitive and contentious information, presenting information, to a wide range of stakeholders in a formal setting.

· Facilitate and nurture connections with local communities, commissioned and non-commissioned services and wider VCSE organisations to explore opportunities to meet the needs of the local population.

· Work and engage constructively with internal and external stakeholders.

· Provide administrative support to the programme.

  • Review data and outcome frameworks and create greater consistency and quality assurance of services.
  • Support the scoping of our current system and structures to enable us to evolve our commissioning arrangements.
  • develop and maintain systems to quality assure the commissioning process
  • ensure the maintenance of professional and ethical practice across internal and external partners
  • ensure timely and accurate payments to service providers and partners, preparation of budget monitoring reports including calculating finances associated with programme activities
  • support the rollout of a strategy for embedding trauma informed practice across our system (both Devon and Cornwall) and support organisations in this journey.
  • support the rollout of projects and programmes delivered under Pathfinder.
  • coordinate prototyping projects and new areas of work under the Pathfinder work streams.
  • Promote the voice of lived experience and inspire people to connect

· Operate in a highly political and sensitive environment

· To represent the Programme Lead in multi-agency meetings as appropriate and participate in local, regional and national working groups as required.
