Job summary

Our Medium-Term Financial Plan (MTFP) focuses on financial models and strategic improvement programmes. To oversee these, we're launching the Transforming Devon Programme to drive system-wide change.

The Transforming Devon team will lead complex, multi-year programmes aligned with NHS long-term goals. The team will integrate clinical, operational, and technological innovations to improve patient outcomes and performance. They'll work with executives, commissioners, clinical leaders, and partners to design, execute, and sustain transformative changes, overseeing programme delivery, financial performance, and governance.

We're looking for a motivated Programme Officer to provide administrative support and assist as needed.

Eligibility to Work in the UKNHS Devon does not currently hold a sponsorship license to support visa applications. Main duties of the job

This is key role within the Transforming Devon Programme, with the following key responsibilities:

o Provide specialist administration support and advice to the area.o Supporting the team with the management of projects, gathering information and undertaking enquires as and when is necessary for the head of department, teams and the department.o Preparing agendas, taking minutes and distributing notes of meetings including typing up of group discussions and interviews as necessary.o Provide cross cover within own team and other teams during annual leave/sickness absences and busy periods.o To provide administrative support including when appropriate to all team members to support a range of department initiatives.o Taking telephone calls for the department when out of the office and expected to use their initiative to deal with phone calls and messages.o Undertaking administrative duties such as photocopying, faxing and mail-out distributions.o Ensuring all urgent and/or confidential communications are received and distributed from/to relevant parties in a timely manner.o Supporting teams in project management and participating in department events.o Developing and maintaining effective electronic and paper filing systems, to ensure that information is kept securely and is accessible to other members of the team /projects.
