Job summary

This post of Senior Data analyst within a progressive and innovative Data and insights team within South Yorkshire ICB.

We are looking to recruit a Band 7 analyst who is passionate about data and making a difference to the lives of our patients ensuring the organisation making good data driven decisions.

This role is one of four band 7 analyst who will each be the lead point of contact for one of our four places within the ICB This role is for the Sheffield lead position, in addition to this each analyst will have portfolio areas where they are the subject matter experts and owners of the work we do. We would welcome candidates who have an interest/expertise in Performance level corporate reporting and/or Mental health or who are active learners and adaptive to cover the numerous data sets we use.

This post will include line management responsibility of a Data analyst and support them in management of a junior or associate analyst.

This role is a senior post within the team and will be involved alongside senior managers with the creating and delivering on aspects of the strategy and it is encouraged that the postholder bring new ideas and skills to the team to create best ways of working and to develop colleagues.

Main duties of the job

This role will expose you to a wide number of different datasets and technical tools, Partners across different organisations including Public Health, Secondary care, Primary Care and Community and many more working to improve the lives and health of the people of South Yorkshire.

The role is 37.5 hours and will involve a hybrid working model with time spent at our Eyre Street site in Sheffield, Home working and may include travel to our sites across South Yorkshire in Barnsley, Rotherham, and Doncaster or external meetings at our partner sites.

You'll be responsible for the provision, scoping and delivery of information, structured analysis and data management to support all areas of the ICB and our partners.

You should be collaborative and proactive, working on a wide variety of initiatives using a range of skills and methodologies including Agile development.

Work with stakeholders and colleagues to deliver well scoped, clear tasks then implementing these in line with priorities.

Creation of Monitoring tools, self-serve applications and Indepth analysis to ensure evidence-based decisions can be made, maintain our core applications and deliver new solutions to support the health of our population.

You will be a point of escalation for the team helping them to remove blockers in their work or making a judgement call to escalate up for a resolution.
