Job summary
INTERVIEW DATE: 12 APRIL 2024
There are four places
across South Yorkshire: Barnsley, Doncaster, Rotherham and Sheffield working
together in an Integrated Care System. Workstreams are taking place at both
place level and South Yorkshire level to co-ordinate care in the most effective
way. There are shared objectives based upon delivery of the triple aim of the
Institute for Healthcare Improvement:
Improve population
health
Improve care and
quality
Close the finance and
sustainability gap
It
is recognised that transformation in mental health services is an essential
requirement in delivering these objectives, and that a strategic approach to
organising solutions is needed. Poor mental health is associated with decreased
social relationships and resilience and people with autism and/or learning
disabilities have much higher rates of mental illness than the general
population.
There is an ambitious
programme of work and mental health is a significant transformation priority
within South Yorkshire. This requires us to work well across the whole system,
with individual organisations and people who use our services. To do this we
need to put in place robust programme management and improvement arrangements,
ensuring we provide the right support at the right time to help our plans
succeed. The Project Support Officer role will support delivery of these ambitions.
Main duties of the job
The Project Support Officer will be expected to
provide high quality project support to a range of mental health programme
priorities. The role is an exciting opportunity to work with mental health
transformation and the postholder will get the opportunity to work with a large
range of stakeholders including NHS and Social Care partners as well as the
voluntary and community sector, police and ambulance. The role will involve administration
tasks such as arranging meetings, taking minutes etc. as well as supporting
project delivery by leading on project areas such as project plans, risk
registers etc. This role will work as part of a small core programme team to
provide project officer support to the Mental Health Programme, working closely
with the Programme Manager and Programme Director.
