Job summary

This is a Macmillan funded role which will help support innovative pathway/service priorities in the SYB Cancer Alliance. The postholder will work in close collaboration with the dedicated Programme Lead for Non-Surgical Oncology transformation providing project support duties and input, in line with project controls. This is a core programme of work in the Alliance, which aims to embed resilient models of care which optimise patient experience and outcomes.

This postholder will be expected to coordinate assigned elements of work, applying initiative and able to prioritise own workload. They will need to have excellent communication skills and be confident in liaising with a range of stakeholders including clinical partners.

Main duties of the job

Work as part of the Cancer Alliance team to deliver programmes/projects of work in line with national and local priorities.

Engage with a range of stakeholders, across various organisations and sectors, to ensure work is produced collaboratively.

Take responsibility for allocated pieces of work, completing them as per scope and prescribed milestones.

Support the Programme Lead in the timely and robust maintenance of Programme/project controls and governance including updating project plans, capturing risks and issues etc.

Review and analyse data and intelligence pertinent to the programme of work and present summaries to differing audiences as required.

Work will Clinical Leads and associated Clinical Delivery Groups to define and implement agreed improvement actions.
