The
post holder will support the Continuing Healthcare (CHC) team in ensuring the
people of Sheffield, experience the best possible quality of services,
clinical outcomes, and patient experience throughout the NHS Continuing
Healthcare process. They will provide specific administrative duties relating
to supporting Children in receipt of Continuing Care who have a Personal
Health Budget (PHB). Also provide assistance and administrative support in
relation to Court of Protection / Deprivation of Liberty in Community (CoP/DoLiCs)
processes, including the collation and dissemination of information, as
required.
Main duties of the job
They will deliver an effective and competent level of senior business support to consistently deliver a patient-focused service that promotes good and effective working relationships. The post holder will have proficient keyboard skills and be competent at using Microsoft Office programs, particularly Excel, Word and Outlook. The post holder will be experienced in using data systems which enable accurate reporting to support future service delivery. They will provide business support to the team in a flexible and professional manner, whilst maintaining a patient focus and supporting other members of the business support team to fulfil their day-to-day duties.

Key objectives of this role include:
- Work with the Business Support Team Leader, PHB advisor and Court of Protection/DoLiC lead to ensure the effective business processing of Continuing Healthcare documentation in relation PHBs for Children and Court of Protection/DoliCs administration.
- Reconcile invoices received in respect of legal services provided for COP/DoLiC cases. Highlight where budget requires potential consideration for increases.
- Deal with CHC related invoice queries in an efficient and timely manner to ensure payment is not delayed.
- Assist the CHC Business Support Team Leader in updating funding on the CHC database to enable effective financial reporting and forecasting.
- Support the monitoring and audit of patients who have a Personal Health Budget and who are Continuing Care eligible as a Child.
- To support the team in the development in the personalisation agenda and to support the pathway delivery for Personal Health Budgets within NHS Continuing Healthcare developing business processes to support. (Including entering packages of care on to the database and sending out support plans to patients.)
- Non-clinical contact with public and/or patients may be required
- In times of absence, assist the CHC service to record incoming referrals, monitoring generic inbox, recording outcomes of assessments, communicating outcomes to patients or their representatives.
