Job summary

This exciting senior leadership opportunity is key to our collective clinical education development offer across Lancashire and South Cumbria. Our Targeted Practice Education Programme (TPEP) funded by Health Education England brings together for the first time a diverse range of workstreams led by a range of education stakeholders and providers across our integrated care system.

This role will be instrumental to ensure that the TPEP range of workstreams align and collectively enhance earning and development opportunities for learners and educators in our provider organisations.

Main duties of the job

This role will lead a collaborative ICS approach to practice education through the Targeted Practice Education Programme with funding from HEE. The programme has several workstreams:

  1. Leadership
  2. Enabling effective learning environments
  3. Transport and accommodation
  4. Digital
  5. Supervision and assessment
  6. Midwifery
  7. Cancer pathway
  8. Mental health
  9. Learning disabilities

These support a wide range of staff and pathways across nursing and allied health professions.

The established TPEP Collaborative will work to enable each key objective and linked KPIs to be realised. This will support our future workforce through identification, development, and consistent delivery of high-quality clinical learning, and reduce unwarranted variation and optimise learning opportunities.

There is a shared commitment between Health Education England, NHSE/I, the Healthier Lancashire & South Cumbria ICS (LSC), local HEI's, NHS Trusts and Social and Primary Care to work collaboratively to support improvements in capacity and effective learning across sectors.

The Group will report into L&SC Collaborative Education Forum with monthly performance reports against agreed project plan deliverables and timescales.

As well as overall leadership the post holder will inspire and motivate all stakeholders to work collaboratively with a strong key focus on belonging, equality and inclusion and co-production.
