Job summary

An exciting opportunity has arisen to play a crucial role in supporting delivery of the first Women's Health Strategy for England focussing initially on the development of Lincolnshire's first Women's Health Hub pilot site.

The Women's Health Strategy launched in Autumn 22 for England sets out the 10 year ambitions for boosting health & wellbeing of women and girls and for improving how the health & care system listens to women. The Strategy encourages the expansion of women's health hubs across the county to improve access & health outcomes.

This post is designed to provide dedicated capacity to drive the development & implementation of a women's health hub & evaluate its effectiveness to determine future roll out. We are seeking a forward-thinking person that is comfortable working across multiple organisations with a passion for women's health improvement to help us to continue to improve our services. You will need to have a good understanding of NHS services, primary care & public health along with excellent interpersonal skills to enable an effective co-produced hub.

Whilst this post is initially advertised as a fixed term or secondment to support the first hub there may be a possibility of extension. The post will be part of the Planned Care & Diagnostic team within the Lincolnshire Integrated Care Board. There will be the expectation that this post will attend the office when needed & not less than once per week, but other flexible/home working arrangements can be discussed.

Interview date - Friday 17th November at Bridge House, Sleaford, NG34 8GG. This will include a 10 minute presentation on 'What you would do to scope and implement a Women's Health Hub in Lincolnshire'.

About us

NHS Lincolnshire Integrated Care Board (ICB) is a strategic component of the Integrated Care System (ICS) across Lincolnshire delivering the commitments set out in the NHS Long Term Plan.

As a strategic commissioner we are responsible for meeting the needs of our population through commissioning high quality services. We seek to improve patient experience and are committed at looking at innovative ways we can improve care and offer more choice. Patients are at the heart of everything we do and it's important that they are involved not just in decisions about their individual care, but also in the decisions that shape the health services delivered locally.

In conjunction, with patient experience and the growing demands of our population; we are facing increasing financial challenge. We are required to reduce expenditure to sustainable levels (in alignment to the ICS 5 year strategic plan) which broadly fall into three types of scheme: system wide transformation, system wide efficiency, ICB only efficiency.

The ICB will promote good governance and proper stewardship of public resources in pursuance of its goals and in meeting its statutory duties. Good corporate governance arrangements are critical to achieving the ICB's objectives and financial sustainability.
