NHS Lincolnshire Integrated Care Board

Quality Support Officer

Information:

This job is now closed

Job summary

We are looking to recruit to a team of 2 Quality Support Officers to provide administration and programme support to the ICB Quality Teams and particularly the Deputy Directors of Nursing and Quality. These are established posts but due to existing staff moving into other roles both within the Quality Team and elsewhere within the Lincolnshire System the three posts have now become vacant.

Main duties of the job

The post holder will work as a member of the NHS Lincolnshire Integrated Care Board Quality and Nursing Team.

You will have a patient centred approach at all times and will be able to demonstrate a passion and drive for improving patient experience and safety. There will be occasional contact with members of the public and health service users and therefore experience of dealing with the public would be an advantage. Some of these maybe challenging conversations where people have become frustrated trying to navigate services and you will be able to deal with that with empathy and compassion.

About us

Whilst the main elements of the role are office based and administrative there are opportunities to support quality partnership work out and about with system providers. The role is Monday to Friday within normal office hours, although there may be rare requests to work outside of this within an agreed framework. The system response to the COVID-19 Pandemic is a good example of this where the Quality Teams were expected to mobilise cover to 7 day working. As a team of 2 you would be expected to cover each other during periods of leave.

The role is hugely varied and whilst much of the work can be planned, there is also the need to respond to unanticipated demands and situations. The Quality Team work across NHS Trusts, ambulances, primary care and social care and have a responsibility for NHS services from pre-birth/maternity, children and right through to older adults, frailty and end of life care.

If you are looking for a role where you can make a difference and want to join a supportive, committed team then we look forward to hearing from you. If you would like to discuss further please contact Terry Vine, Deputy Director of Nursing and Quality, 07583 906557 or email terryvine@nhs.net .
