Job summary

An exciting opportunity has arisen for a dynamic healthcare professional to join our Nursing and Quality Directorate. The post will play an integral role in contributing to the Triple Aim to deliver High Quality Care putting Quality and Safety at the forefront of planning and decision making across Nottingham and Nottinghamshire.

Through professional and clinical leadership, the role will ensure that health and care inequalities and variation are addressed, that serious quality concerns are managed effectively, and that learning, intelligence and improvement are shared across the system to inform on-going improvement.

The successful candidate will work collaboratively with partners from across Nottingham and Nottinghamshire system championing the importance of quality, ensuring a good understanding of what 'good' looks like and how we can build on delivering high-quality care. We are looking for a driven, energetic, resilient, and organised individual to support a shared commitment to quality.

The successful post holder must have previous experience of working with others to gain assurance of high quality care and patient safety. You will be confident in determining whether appropriate care is being delivered or if additional interventions/actions are required.

Main duties of the job

1. To ensure the fundamental standards of quality are delivered - including managing quality risks, including safety risks, and addressing inequalities and variation.

2. To continually improve the quality of services, in a way that makes a real difference to the people using them.

3. To support our collective ambition to improve the health and wellbeing of our local population in delivery of our Integrated Care Strategy and Joint Forward Plan's ambitions, aims, principles and priorities.

About us

The Quality manager sits in the nursing and quality directorate. Our team is headed by our Chief Nurse, director of quality and associate director of quality and patient safety.
