Job summary
Integrated Care System (ICS) through the System Analytical Intelligence Unit (SAIU).
The primary purpose of this role is to lead on the development of integrated workforce datasets and strategic workforce reporting, analysis and future modelling across health and care organisations within Nottingham and Nottinghamshire that will enable the ICS to better understand its current workforce and future proof a sustainable workforce planning approach.
It is envisaged that this post holder, through robust data and intelligence reporting will ensure we have the insights to inform system wide improvements, transformational opportunities and developments to ensure we have the right staff in the right place at the right time to deliver the right outcomes to our population.
This is a new role, and offers the postholder an opportunity to use their expertise in workforce data and analytics to contribute to the
People and Culture Board's strategic direction, and the requirements of the ICS People function as set out in national NHS guidance.
Main duties of the job
- The post holder will work within the Nottingham and Nottinghamshire System Analytical Intelligence Unit (SAIU), linking closely with the Associate Director of Strategic Workforce Transformation and Integrated Care System (ICS) Business Partners, to help lead the transformational development and delivery of its workforce plans.
- Responsible for managing relationships with system partners and providers to improve the data quality, reporting and analysis of workforce information in relation to the production of workforce planning. Ensuring that national, regional and local workforce planning and reporting requirements are met.
- This post will work across the system to further develop a standardised workforce baseline for modelling, forecasting capacity and demand activity, finance and planning.
- To provide high level management and support to the workforce analyst and be the conduit between providers to support data quality improvements, validation, triangulation of workforce data returns including modelling activity, planning and finance and activity that the reports are accurate and completed with accurate narrative within agreed timescales.
- To manage and co-chair the alignment between the Workforce Intelligence Group and the System Analytical Intelligence Unit (SAIU) to support population health management, system planning, demand and capacity modelling, transformational opportunity and future workforce sustainability based on the changes to the population over time.
About us
The team is part of the wider System Analytics and Intelligence Unit within the Nottingham and Nottinghamshire Integrated Care Board (ICB). The team is experienced in Health Informatics and takes a supportive and collaborative approach to meeting team aims and objectives.
The ICB flexible working policy means a mix of working from Home and from an office base can be accommodated.
There are opportunities to learn from other parts of the SAIU as well as Informatics Specialists within the wider Nottingham & Nottinghamshire health economy.

- To have the ability to manage the integration and development of system wide workforce dashboards and system insight reports with all ICS providers and business partners.
- Responsible for managing relationships with system partners and providers to improve the data quality, reporting and analysis of workforce information in relation to the production of workforce planning. Ensuring that national, regional and local workforce planning and reporting requirements are met.

- To have the ability to engage and liaise with national and regional workforce bodies where appropriate e.g. NHS Improvement, Health Education England and other NHS organisations to support local and National priorities are achieved.
- Take responsibility and prioritise own workload to ensure system priorities and deadlines are met.
