Job summary

The post holder will be part of NHS Herefordshire and Worcestershire Integrated Care Board's (ICB) dynamic Operations & Delivery division, within the Urgent & Emergency Care, Long Term Conditions, Community and End of Life team. The teams work on all aspects of development and delivery of programmes and associated with improvement and transformation of service delivery of agreed ICS priorities across Herefordshire and Worcestershire.

H&W ICB is seeking highly motivated, organised and approachable senior managers to lead defined programmes of work, contributing to delivery of agreed priorities within the team.

We are looking for applications from people who are able to demonstrate their experience of leading large health or care projects or programmes, developing effective working relationships with wide range of stakeholders and monitoring the impact of developments.

Main duties of the job

The post holder will be required to:

  • Support the operational commissioning and service development by the ICS, specifically in the programme of Ageing Well, Community and End of Life services .
  • Progress delivery and report on programmes that are either ICS system-wide priorities or projects that support Place Partnerships (Herefordshire or Worcestershire)
  • Build and sustain effective reporting to Regulators with information requests and progress reports submitted on time and to satisfactory standards.
  • Support the development of strong working relationships with multiple teams and organisations across the ICS, to further health and care delivery and improve patient outcomes.
  • Engagement of patients, public, health and care organisations and other stakeholders in delivery of projects.
  • Development and delivery of improvement action plans in relation to agreed priorities and commitments.
  • Monitor and evaluating projects, demonstrating benefits and impact.
  • Identify areas of need or gaps in provision including health inequalities in our communities.
  • Delivery of required System wide Best use of Resources Programme outputs.
    • To identify and develop plans to support system improvements that also reduces system cost where possible
    • To lead on the programme delivery of a Getting it Right First Time for a specialty or equivalent programme in other areas.

  • Support the overarching system-wide transformation programme leading the redesign of services in priority areas, improving outcomes for patients and delivering improved financial and productivity efficiencies.
  • Undertake a Programme Lead role for the co-ordination and delivery of a programme of work.
  • Undertake a proactive role in sharing cross-organisational best practice across the system, identifying actions to reduce unwarranted variation across both counties.
  • Apply exemplary communications skills to deal appropriately with very sensitive information about performance and change.
