This is a period of significant change within the ICB and this is a fixed term role to support and where appropriate lead organisation wide change including redundancy, TUPE and organisational re-design whilst managing a small team and keeping business as usual Business Partnering going.
The right candidate will have experience of operating as a business partner with significant experience of wellbeing focused organisational change and employee relations. The role will also support the delivery of the ICB's People through appropriate organisational wide projects. The role will partner with many of our Directorates delivering a comprehensive HR Business Partner service.
We need someone who can work independently, using their own initiative from day one, with substantial experience of operating as a Business Partner (based on UK employment law) ideally in an organisation like the NHS (complex, unionised or public sector environment). You will be CIPD L5 (ideally L7) qualified with a degree or equivalent and be able to demonstrate an understand of how the NHS operates. An ideal opportunity for an internal NHS secondment, though we welcome applications from external applicants who can meet the requirements of the role
Main duties of the job
- Be a true business partner, understanding and reflecting the needs of Directorates and HR
- Provide highly complex support and advice on a comprehensive range of employment, employee relations matters and organisational change
- Design and deliver training programmes on a range of HR issues to improve to improve the capability of line managers, evaluating the effectiveness of training delivered and making recommendations for improvement.
- Lead workforce and OD projects.
- Coach and guide Managers on specific issues, e.g. conduct, absence management, discipline or grievance, emphasising the importance of good record keeping and documentation. Support managers in resolving issues, working closely with Staff Side where necessary.
- Support with the management and implementation of organisational change.
About us
This role is office based and open to hybrid working with requirements to regularly attend ICB bases at Shire Hall, Warwick and Parkside House, Coventry.
This role is full time vacancy, however we will consider flexible work arrangements for preferred candidates.
