Job summary

An exciting opportunity has arisen for a highly motivated, enthusiastic, and innovative individual to join the Finance Directorate as Head of Primary Care Finance.

Main duties of the job

Reporting to the ICB Director of Finance and working closely with the Director of Primary Care the role is responsible for providing financial advice and support on all aspects of financial management, financial reporting, and financial planning in relation to Primary Care Services (General Practice, Pharmacy, Optometry and Dental services). The post will lead and manage the Primary Care Finance Team on a day-to-day basis to ensure deadlines are met and objectives are fulfilled.

NHS Coventry and Warwickshire Integrated Care Board (ICB) formed as a brand-new organisation in July 2022. The ICB is responsible for the planning, design, development, and commissioning (buying) of local health services. They put local GPs and healthcare professionals at the forefront of commissioning services for the local people.

In order to undertake this role, the ideal candidate will be CCAB/CIMA qualified, ambitious and a committed individual who is able to demonstrate proven post qualification experience of working at a senior level and will ideally have experience in leading and managing teams within finance. Strong management and communication skills will be key to this role to ensure that they are able to provide efficient support to Primary Care as well as the wider finance directorate.
