Job summary

We are looking for a Chair to lead our Hampshire Maternity and Neonatal Voices Partnership (MNVP) and help us review, shape and improve maternity services in Hampshire.

The Maternity and Neonatal Voices partnership (MNVP) are an independently led group who work together to review and support local maternity and Neonatal services, listen to the voices of service users, co-produce the design and implementation of services and support the LMNS to provide quality assurance and surveillance across maternity services.

The role is proposed for 1 years and remunerated on a sessional basis 0f £150 per day (5 days each month).

Main duties of the job

Attend and chair monthly/quarterly formal MNVP meetings and the governance that underpins this.

Attend LMNS board meetings

Ensure that stakeholders and people using the services can contribute to the meetings and promote co- production in discussions about services to drive improvement for all

Produce an annual workplan and strategic objectives and ensure that the workplan is progressed

Write and distribute an annual report to MNVP member and relevant stakeholder organisations

Organise and attend service user meetings to create regular opportunities for women/birth people to share their experiences in a safe space and establish links with existing groups

And actively encourage/recruit seldom heard voices to be involved in the MNVP.

Establish independent relationships with local and regionals MNVPS. NHS groups and NHSE leadership to share best practice and access current information

Represent the MNVP at external meetings including regional and national maternity meetings, trust meetings, steering groups, maternity system meetings

About us

To be considered for this role you must reside in the Hampshire area as this is due to the nature of the duties as detailed in the job description and person specification and must be a service user member, current or previous residing in the Hampshire as this is the area that the MNVP will be working as an advocate for people using the maternity/ Neonatal services.

This role is a lay person role and does not give employer rights.
