The Equality, Diversity and Inclusion (EDI) Team are looking for an Equality, Diversity and Inclusion Project Manager to support the design, delivery and evaluation of EDI projects, training initiatives and work programmes across the Hampshire and Isle of Wight Integrated Care Board (ICB).
We are looking for organised, innovative and confident candidates with excellent communication and relationship building skills, who are passionate about embedding EDI considerations into the Integrated Care Board's day-to-day working.
Previous experience of project management is essential. However, experience of working in the NHS or within EDI is desirable but not essential. We encourage you to contact the team if you are considering applying.
Main duties of the job
The post holder will report to the EDI Lead and deputise for them as appropriate. They will work closely with the wider People Team, as well as commissioning teams across the ICB. The role also offers the opportunity to work in partnership with health and care providers across Hampshire and the Isle of Wight to deliver national and system wide EDI priorities.
The role will require active engagement with a wide range of staff, managers, and senior leaders. This will include working in partnership with colleagues from relevant protected characteristic groups to address concerns, identify and address barriers and promote a culture of inclusion. The post holder will also be expected to prepare and deliver presentations to senior leaders, design, deliver and evaluate projects and training programmes, and support the development of the ICB's Equality delivery system (EDS) report, the Workforce Race Equality Standard (WRES) and Workforce Disability Equality Standard (WDES) reports and action plans, and the gender Pay Gap report.
The post holder will support the ICB's senior leaders to fulfil their Public Sector Equality Duty by delivering a programme of Equality Impact Assessment (EIA) training workshops, and guiding EIA authors through the ICB assessment process.
